School's Out

So that’s another term of teaching done and dusted! And what a strange and difficult term it’s been...

Like many other music teachers out there, I’ve been pleasantly surprised at how well online lessons have turned out! I had to adapt and change some ways of teaching but in return I found the students had to be more independent, more focused during lessons and developed their listening skills much more.

Teaching via camera is definitely exhausting, and my eyesight is definitely a little worse for wear, but I think we really reaped the benefits for it and I’m so glad that we live in a time where technology makes practically anything possible!

Going forward, I’m going to incorporate technology and online resources much more in my teaching in the terms to come. For now though, I’m going to take a week or two to do absolutely nothing! Bliss!
